On Sunday morning, Pudsey Bear pulled into Stone Railway Station ready for his annual tour of Stone supported by Stone Rotary Club, and his first stop was Stone Radio.
Pudsey was live on air with John Sayer from the Rotary Club on the Breakfast Show with Cliff & Paul.
Mr Sayer said: “This is the 21st year that we’ve toured around Stone with Pudsey Bear and in total over the years we’ve raised over £50,000 for Children in Need.
“We’ve achieved this great amount thanks to the people of Stone’s generosity in supporting this charity. We look forward to seeing them again this year on Friday 17 November at the traffic lights on Christchurch Way where we’ll be collecting.
“During the rest of his time with us, Pudsey will be visiting a number schools, nurseries and youth groups in the local area, including Stone, Yarnfield and Stafford.
“The Rotary Club does so much in Stone and it was great to share some of what we do on Stone Radio.”
Stone Radio station directors Cliff Goodwin and Paul Dean said: “It was great to have Pudsey and John come onto the show on Sunday. It’s brilliant that we’re able to provide another platform for local communities to share their news on.
“There’s a variety of live programmes broadcasted on the station every Sunday from Stone Railway Station on stoneradio.co.uk. we also have a listen again feature.”
The Breakfast Show with Pudsey will be available to listen on catch-up with the station’s listen-again option.
The station is currently looking for a number of volunteers in a variety of roles, including presenters, technicians and web designers. To find out more information email: firstname.lastname@example.org
